All The Colours Of Queen Elizabeth

She’s known for her love of corgis and colour, she’s the longest reigning monarch in British history, the longest reigning female monarch in world history (now that’s what we call girl power) and she’s celebrating her 93rd birthday… we’re talking about Queen Elizabeth II!

Now, we know there are a lot of Harry/Meghan/Kate/Prince George fans out there, but we have a bit of a soft spot for the Queen. It’s her facial expressions, it’s the way she gets excited at a parade of cows and it’s the way she looks like a complete bad ass whilst driving her Range Rover (did you know the Queen is the only person allowed to drive without a license?!). We also love her passion for animals, specifically corgis. She’s owned more than 30 of the little fellows during her reign, the first, Susan, was given to her for her 18th birthday and even accompanied her on her honeymoon! Now that’s puppy love. We can relate.

An unlikely style icon, we’re looking back at all of her majesty’s rainbow looks to celebrate her birthday, so sit back, enjoy and take a little bit of inspo from the Queen of colour…

It’s associated with strength, determination as well as love. Why wouldn’t the Queen dress in this powerful colour? Wear it your way with this peplum dress, croc saddle bag and don’t forget a slick of red lippie!

Orange can be a hard colour to pull off, but Queen Elizabeth shows us how it’s done. Go all out in a midi skirt, add a splash of the citrus colour with a cross body bag and experiment with an orange eyeshadow.

She is often described as a ray of sunshine, and she certainly is one in this yellow look! Brighten up your day with a chic, yellow belted blazer, a broderie top and add a little touch with gold drop earrings.

Already in the midst of a love affair with neon green, seeing the Queen embrace the bright hue has only made our love for it run deeper. We say go all out a la Elizabeth and rock it from head-to-toe with this chain print co-ord, neon earrings and perspex pouch.

Looking blue, feeling electric! Go bright with blue like our favourite monarch and tuck this satin tank top into a polka dot midi. It’s all about the accessories! Amp it up with earrings and these slingback courts.

I saw Queen Elizabeth wearing pale pink, so I wore pale pink. This button front midi dress will be perfect for any of your fancier affairs, teamed with an envelope clutch, drop earrings and some sassy stilettos, of course.

While we’re not 100% sure that we can pull off the chic headscarf and string of pearls combo, we know we can rock the grape shade like a royal. Go for a purple slip dress, smoky eye and some statement shades.
