December is a busy time of year so why not make your life easier and outfit plan now? When time is tight, having a pre-planned ensemble is a game changer and a mood lifter. From cute Christmas markets to spins around the rink followed by hot chocolate with all the works, we’ve got every plan prepped.

If you can skate backwards - whoop-de-doo. For the rest of us, a good outfit is what we need to feel confident on the rink. If you’re going to fall (which we definitely will), fall in style, right? Layers are key so start with high-waisted leggings as your toasty base and build up from that, adding a leopard print jumper and shearling teddy bear coat over the top. A bobble hat is obvious (but necessary) choice. Don't forget your chunky boots - what else are you going to want to wear after being bambi for 45 minutes?

Who knows if anyone actually finds them interesting but Christmas markets are the stuff of festive rom-coms and, because of that, a December staple. Dress like the starring character of your own film in a jumper dress and boots. A faux fur coat adds some drama to your usual winter attire. Sipping mulled wine, nibbling free cheese tasters and browsing artisan wooden spoons has never looked so good.

When it’s so cold that getting a hot chocolate is an activity in itself, go all out! Wear the heeled boots, brave a sleeveless top (if you’re inside) and throw on a floor-sweeping cardigan. Hot-choc dates are the winter equivalent of going out-out in our opinion so treat them as such. You can change into your cosy clothes when you get home.
